Czech biophysicists help develop innovative skin care products

LVMH cosmetic brand Guerlain has launched a skin care product range featuring a novel active ingredient developed by scientists at Palacký University Olomouc in Czechia. “Our results show that ultra-weak photon emission can be a sensitive indicator of changes in the skin associated with ageing,” said Ankush Prasad, head of the research team at the Department of Biophysics. “Connecting the university environment with an industrial partner allows scientific knowledge to be transferred into real products”.
